For System Integrator teams starting enterprise projects
The project is about to start.
What needs clarifying first?
Identify up to three topics to bring to the kickoff and prepare a brief to share with the team.
18 questions about people, requirements and integrations. No project score: just a guide to what to explore, with whom and when.
You do not need to name the client. You can prepare the brief even if you only answer some questions.
An initial review.
Not a project assessment.
It is normal for some aspects to remain open at the start. This review helps distinguish what is agreed, what already has an owner, and what still needs to be assigned.
Answer with the first phase of work in mind, not the complete solution. If you are filling this in alone, treat your answers as an initial view to compare with the team.
This checklist does not certify project readiness or replace the analysis.
First phase of work
Let’s start with people and decisions.
Share what you know today. You can leave questions unanswered and go to the review whenever you like.
Your answers, with no project score
Review your answers.
A means there is a shared reference. B and C are open items: B has an owner, while C still needs one. D marks a topic that is not relevant to the phase being considered.
Your selection
Which topics do you want to bring to the kickoff?
Choose up to three questions, whatever the answer or unanswered. For open items, you can refine the clarification already noted, then add a dependent activity, contact and timing.
Your answers are not sent to the server and remain in this browser tab. They will be lost if you reload or close the page.

An example from my work: making a scope gap visible
During requirements gathering for a project, needs emerged that were outside the scope of the RfQ used to prepare the offer. I documented the gaps and raised them with the System Integrator, giving its technical team the information needed to assess additional work. Discussions with the client and any renegotiation remained the System Integrator’s responsibility.
My contribution was to make the difference explicit so others could assess it and decide what to do.
Do any selected topics need an analyst assigned or further exploration?
I can support the team with requirements, processes and data integrations within the scope agreed with the PM. Contact me with the project phase and one of the topics that came up. We can assess whether my support is a good fit and discuss timing.
My profile will open. You can contact me through the options available on LinkedIn. Please do not send confidential documents.
